Taking to social media, the 26-year-old wrote: “3 points back Home from a difficult place! It’s just a medicine I’m using for my neck, nothing serious.”

So far in the 24/25 season, Odgaard has managed six goals and three assists in 31 matches across all competitions.

Bologna were involved in Europe’s premier club competition this season but failed to make it into the next round after finishing in 28th place.

They only managed to collect six points from eight matches, with a record of one win, three draws and four defeats.

During the league phase, Bologna were beaten by the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa, AS Monaco and Lille, but did manage to beat German giants Borussia Dortmund.

Bologna Football Star Addresses Viral 'Zombie Bite' Speculation

A Serie A footballer found himself at the center of an online frenzy, prompting him to issue a statement clarifying a bizarre injury mark that sparked wild speculation.

During Bologna's recent Serie A match against Venezia at Stadio Pierluigi Penzo on Saturday, eagle-eyed fans spotted something unusual on Bologna striker Jens Odgaard's neck.

Bologna secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Venezia, with Riccardo Orsolini scoring the decisive goal in the 49th minute. However, the matchday conversation quickly shifted from the on-field action to an offbeat incident involving Odgaard.

Social media platforms buzzed with reactions as images of Jens Odgaard circulated, revealing a prominent red mark on the back of his neck. The unusual blemish ignited a wave of humorous and outlandish theories.

Online commentators playfully speculated about the origin of the mark, with suggestions ranging from a 'zombie bite' to a 'shark bite', turning the player into an unexpected viral sensation.

Jens Odgaard Clears Up Neck Mark Mystery After Social Media Frenzy

To quell the rising tide of online chatter and humorous theories, Bologna's Danish forward, Jens Odgaard, 26, took to social media to set the record straight.

In a light-hearted Instagram post, Odgaard addressed the viral image, stating: "3 points back Home from a difficult place! It's just a medicine I'm using for my neck, nothing serious." He reassured fans that the mark was simply due to a neck treatment and not a result of any fantastical encounter.

Odgaard has been a key player for Bologna this season, contributing significantly with:

  • Goals: 6
  • Assists: 3
  • Matches played: 31 (across all competitions)

The victory against Venezia propelled Bologna to fourth place in the Serie A standings, closely tailing Atalanta by just two points. The team, managed by Vincenzo Italiano, is aiming for a strong finish to the season to secure a coveted Champions League spot for the next season.

Despite participating in European club competitions this season, Bologna unfortunately did not advance to the next round, finishing 28th overall with a mixed record:

  • Points: 6
  • Record:
    • Wins: 1
    • Draws: 3
    • Defeats: 4
  • Notable Matches: Faced defeats against Liverpool, Aston Villa, AS Monaco, and Lille, but secured a victory against Borussia Dortmund.

Looking ahead, Bologna is set to compete against Empoli in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Tuesday night at Stadio Carlo Castellani, adding another crucial fixture to their schedule.
