MrBeast Shocks Fans with Heskey Treatment After Charity Match - Hesgoal

Fans watching the Sidemen Charity Match couldn’t believe what MrBeast accidentally did to Emile Heskey after the game ended.

MrBeast’s Awkward Moment With Football Legend at Wembley Stadium

MrBeast made headlines after being announced as a surprise late addition to the YouTube All-Stars squad for Saturday’s charity match at the iconic Wembley Stadium. The YouTube sensation, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, started the game at right-back and even attempted a penalty kick in the first half, which was unfortunately saved.

The All-Stars claimed victory in a thrilling penalty shootout, with internet personality iShowSpeed converting the decisive spot kick after an action-packed 9-9 draw in regular time. Following their win, the celebrations began as players made their way up the Wembley steps to receive their winners’ medals.

It was during this medal ceremony that the awkward incident occurred. As MrBeast approached referee Mark Clattenburg, he cordially shook hands with the official and even shared a piece of his Feastables chocolate bar with him. However, standing right next to Clattenburg was former Premier League star Emile Heskey, who extended his hand to congratulate the YouTube creator – only to be completely overlooked.

Social Media Reaction to the Unintentional Snub

The moment quickly caught the attention of viewers, who took to social media to comment on the unintentional snub of the former Liverpool and England striker:

  • “Mr Beast giving his Feastables chocolate to Mark Clattenburg and airing Emile Heskey was not on my 2025 bucket list.”
  • “Not Mr Beast airing Heskey.”
  • “MrBeast just aired Heskey.”
  • “MrBeast aired Heskey sad to see.”

Interestingly, MrBeast wasn’t the only participant who accidentally overlooked Heskey’s handshake attempt. Content creator CarryMinati did the same just seconds earlier, suggesting the oversight may have been due to the excitement and overwhelming nature of the event rather than any intentional disrespect.

Heskey, who served on the match’s punditry panel alongside Eni Aluko and Jermain Defoe, remained professional throughout the event. He later presented Theo Baker with the Golden Boot award for scoring a hat-trick in the match. Baker had been substituted after just 20 seconds, in what commentators described as a playful reference to Heskey’s unfortunate history of injuries in previous Sidemen charity matches.

The former striker also shared a warm embrace with YouTube personality Deji, who made several substitute appearances during the match while sporting shirt number 999.

The charity match standout performer, iShowSpeed, celebrated his winning penalty with characteristic enthusiasm, stating: “I did what I had to do out there, as a captain. Last minute, it was up to me, and we won. At the end of the day, our team won, I got my first goal, and everybody about to be happy. It’s what Ronaldo does, and I did it for him, man.”

He added: “Shout out to everybody who played. I love my team, and I love my supporters.”
