David Beckham is being tipped to “make Major League Soccer bigger than ever” by completing a “simply unbelievable” transfer that would send shockwaves through the football world.
Since the MLS approved Beckham’s expansion team in 2019, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder has helped Inter Miami become a globally-recognised brand.
In fact, after completing the signing of Lionel Messi in 2023, The Herons are currently the second most valuable club in America’s top flight behind Los Angeles FC with a value of over $1 billion, according to Forbes.
Beckham has continued to add more high-profile talent to their roster in recent times, with Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba making a switch to the Fort Lauderdale-based outfit.
So who else will they persuade to sign? Angel Di Maria has been linked with a move to Miami for some time alongside Luka Modric and Sergi Roberto.
But could five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo be tempted to join Messi in Florida? Former MLS and Sweden star Anders Limpar believes Beckham should go all out to sign the Portuguese forward.
“It’s not the biggest league in the world, but it’s the biggest show. I played there in 1999 and like to think of myself as a bit of a pioneer,” he told SveaCasino.se. “During my time, they had to tell the fans the rules over the speakers and we took penalties from the half-way line.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been there, Lionel Messi is there now and can you imagine if Cristiano Ronaldo joined him? Why not?
“It would be the icing on the cake and imagine they played together, it would be simply unbelievable. I think there is only one person who can make that happen and that is David Beckham.”
Limpar added: “If you ask me, Ronaldo should leave Saudi Arabia and make MLS bigger than ever.”

Ronaldo recently took a dig at Major League Soccer during an interview with Spanish TV show El Chiringuito.
“People don’t know. People talk too much and give opinions without knowing,” Ronaldo said.
“That’s normal. Sometimes I feel bad because the reality is completely different when people talk about Saudi Arabia and when they talk about the United States, for example.”

David Beckham is being touted as the key figure to elevate Major League Soccer (MLS) to unprecedented heights. A potential "simply unbelievable" transfer is brewing, one that could reverberate across the global football landscape.
Since MLS greenlit Beckham's expansion franchise in 2019, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid icon has successfully transformed Inter Miami CF into a globally recognized football club.
Inter Miami's Rising Star Power and Potential Blockbuster Signing
Inter Miami's ascent in the MLS has been remarkable. The landmark signing of Lionel Messi in 2023 propelled "The Herons" to become the second most valuable club in the league, boasting a valuation exceeding $1 billion, only surpassed by Los Angeles FC, according to Forbes.
Beckham's ambition hasn't stopped there. He has strategically added renowned players like Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez, and Jordi Alba to Inter Miami's ranks, solidifying their status as a destination for top-tier talent.
Speculation is rife regarding who might be next to don the Inter Miami jersey. Angel Di Maria, Luka Modric, and Sergi Roberto have all been mentioned in connection with a Miami move. However, a truly sensational possibility looms: Cristiano Ronaldo joining Lionel Messi in Florida.
Could Ronaldo and Messi Unite in Miami?
Former MLS and Swedish international star, Anders Limpar, believes David Beckham should pull out all the stops to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Inter Miami.
- Limpar's Vision: "It’s not the biggest league in the world, but it’s the biggest show," Limpar stated in an interview with SveaCasino.se. He reminisced about his time in the MLS in 1999, highlighting the league's growth and entertainment value.
- Unbelievable Duo: "Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been there, Lionel Messi is there now and can you imagine if Cristiano Ronaldo joined him? Why not?" Limpar exclaimed, emphasizing the potential impact of such a signing.
- "Icing on the Cake": He further added, "It would be the icing on the cake and imagine they played together, it would be simply unbelievable. I think there is only one person who can make that happen and that is David Beckham."
- MLS Needs Ronaldo: "If you ask me, Ronaldo should leave Saudi Arabia and make MLS bigger than ever," Limpar concluded, urging the Portuguese star to consider the move.
